Fog again, then searing heat, then cooler

After Tuesday morning's fog leaves, expect heat.

The National Weather Service had a dense fog advisory in effect for parts of northern Tampa Bay and gulf waters. Motorists on Interstate 75 and I-4 should exercise extreme caution, the agency said.

The fog was expected to leave by midmorning.

"Another warm day today," said Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez. "We'll be near some record highs."

It's expected to be in the 80s, she said. A cold front will start moving down from north Florida tonight, which is expected to drop temperatures for the next few days.

Wednesday should be in the 70s, with lows in the upper 50s at night. A low-pressure development in the gulf could increase rain chances Thursday and Friday.
