Foggy conditions in Tampa Bay Wednesday morning could cause visibility issues and snarl traffic.

Visibility in some areas, including Brooksville, dropped down to half a mile, said Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.

"People definitely need to be careful this morning," she said.

The Florida Highway Patrol also warned drivers early Wednesday of dense fog reported on the Sunshine Skyway bridge.

Drivers in Polk County could also be affected as they head to Orlando.

The patchy fog should begin to clear about 10 a.m. Wednesday, Marquez said, as a cold front moves into the region, causing a decrease in clouds.

Temperatures were in the low 60s in Tampa Bay early Wednesday, but conditions Thursday morning could dip into the upper 50s with the upcoming cold front, Marquez said.
