Wednesday starts off with mostly sunny skies once again as temperatures begin to warm, peaking in the low 90s by the afternoon. Factor in humidity, though, and it will much closer to 100 degrees, said 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Grant Gilmore.

"An easterly flow across the state of Florida will keep the Gulf Coast seabreeze from making too much headway inland," Gilmore said. "This will keep the chance for scattered showers and storms a little higher along the coast over to the I-75 corridor."

That being said, some storms could make their way into a few inland communities around Tampa Bay later in the afternoon and evening hours, Gilmore said.

Regardless of how wet the region gets throughout the day, the storms will gradually dissipate overnight.

A 50 percent chance for scattered showers and storms will remain pretty constant through the rest of the workweek, Gilmore said, with highs sticking around the low to mid 90s.
