Intense morning showers and storms will continue throughout the day on and off in Tampa Bay before mostly clearing out Wednesday night.
Early-morning showers are moving off the Gulf of Mexico, but will begin to break up around midday, 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Ashley Batey said.
Conditions, however, aren't expected to completely clear out of the area until about 9 p.m., Batey said.
Heavy downpours and a few thunderstorms are possible, Batey said, but chances for severe weather are unlikely.
While the wet weather continues Thursday, conditions will be much lighter and patchy, Batey said.
Highs hover in the low 80s throughout most of the week before slightly cooler and drier air arrives for the weekend.
