The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m., and the fog is forecast to clear later this morning.

Once it does, a light breeze will arrive this afternoon and sunshine will return to the mix, with highs warming to the mid 70s, 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Ashley Batey said.

Temperatures decreased slightly overnight Wednesday but will drop much more when the next cold front rolls through the region late Thursday and early Friday, Batey said.

The push of cool air brings a slight chance for showers, Batey said, and will significantly rev up wind conditions on Friday.

The coolest temperatures will occur on Saturday morning, which will start off in the upper 30s and low 40s, Batey said.
