After periods of heavy rain in some parts of Tampa Bay over the weekend, the region can expect sunny skies, and warm condition to prevail through the workweek.

Residents are waking up Monday to some clouds and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s, 10Weather WTSP meteorologist Grant Gilmore said.

The overcast skies will gradually clear out, giving way to mostly sunny skies this afternoon and highs approaching 90, Gilmore said.
An afternoon sea breeze, moving west to east, could generate just a few isolated showers starting early this afternoon, Gilmore said. But the rain will dissipate in the afternoon, leaving dry conditions that will carry over into Tuesday.

Starting Tuesday, the region will enjoy even more sunshine, with a sparse chance of a few isolated showers and highs near 90, Gilmore said.
Rain chances pick up on Friday and heading into the weekend, Gilmore said.
