Thought Tropical Storm Dorian was gone for good?
Remnants of the storm, which broke up over the Atlantic Ocean last week, are currently located off the southeast coast of Florida, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Forecasters said early Friday morning that the system had a 40 percent chance of redeveloping into a cyclone.
Although there may be some increased chatter about Dorian, the storm is not expected to have any effect on Tampa Bay, said Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.
"It's not going to be an impact to our side of the state," she said.
Instead, Marquez said, Dorian's remnants might increase rain chances in southeastern Florida and bring stronger winds offshore in the Atlantic.
