It will be typical Florida weather for the next few days, forecasters say.
There will be mostly sunny skies with spotty chances of thunderstorms across Tampa Bay for most of this week, says Bay News 9 meteorologist Mike Clay.
"Watch out for the thunderstorms — and we can get some high winds, also," Clay said.
Heat index values were as high as 100 on Monday, and rain chances will increase up to 60 percent over the next two days.
Clay warned that boaters should keep an eye on the weather report — at least at the skies. Lightning strikes can happen even twelve miles away from a storm, he said.
