Keep an umbrella handy, as rain is expected throughout the Tampa Bay area Tuesday.

A complex weather pattern coming from a low pressure system stretching from western Cuba will likely bring scattered showers during the afternoon and evening, according to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez.

The 40 percent chance of rain Tuesday will drop to between zero and 10 percent Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday will remain warm, with temperatures reaching near 80 degrees in some areas, and then we'll feel cooler air move in throughout the week.

By the weekend, forecasters predict, highs will dip down to the low 70s and high 60s, with slight rain chances persisting.
