More thunderstorms were expected to hit the Tampa Bay area through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Storms will be developing along the coast and will move inland on Tuesday, said weather service meteorologist Jennifer Colson.
A light 5 to 10 mph breeze will shift the storms south by Tuesday afternoon, with a 50 percent chance of rain.
By Thursday, rain chances will decline to about 20 percent, Colson said.
On early Tuesday morning, hundreds of homes and businesses were without power after a string of overnight thunderstorms hammered Tampa Bay. Most have already been restored, according to Progress Energy's website.
Tampa did not appear to be affected by the stormy weather, according to Tampa Electric's website.
