A nice breeze could keep beachgoers from overheating this weekend, Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez said Friday morning.
Friday will serve as a transition day, breaking up the afternoon storm patterns the bay area saw this week and introducing a chance of morning storms Saturday and Sunday, she said. "We could see some isolated thunderstorms in the morning, but the overall chance of rain drops to about 30 percent."
There was a 40 percent chance of afternoon storms forecast for Friday, with highs in the upper 80s or low 90s.
During the weekend, Marquez said, an onshore wind was expected that would keep the air warm and muggy in the mornings. In the afternoon, temperatures could reach the mid 90s.
