Rain — possibly heavy — expected this afternoon



Afternoon showers could drop up to three quarters of an inch of rain this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Highs are expected to reach about 86 degrees today and fall only to 73 this evening. Showers are expected to dissipate by midnight. Some storms could bring localized heavy rains, lightning and hail.

Rain chances and temperatures are expected to remain much the same this weekend, according to Bay News 9.
