Heavy rains pounded the Tampa Bay area Thursday as a line of thunderstorms moved through the area, ushering in some of the coldest weather of the season.
The rain will move through later Thursday, followed by cooler, drier air.
The coldest temperatures will be overnight Saturday and Sunday. Lows will be in the 40s in the Tampa Bay area and the 30s in Citrus and Hernando counties.
Daytime highs this weekend will be in the low 70s or high 60s.
