The water from Wednesday's flooding in Tampa has receded, and drivers and beachgoers alike can expect normal late-spring heat and afternoon storms for the next few days.

High temperatures will hit the low to mid 90s over the weekend, with a 60 percent chance of rain Friday and 50 percent Saturday and Sunday, according to the WTSP 10 Weather forecast.

"You can plan your day a little easier because you know about 2 or 3 o'clock, you can expect some storms," WTSP meterologist Bobby Deskins said.

But while there could be some downpours, Deskins said they shouldn't be like the 2.5 to 6 inches of rain that submerged parts of Tampa early Wednesday afternoon, when multiple storms rolled in over the same area. Instead, they'll be popup showers moving inland.

"We're getting back to normal for this time of year," Deskins said.
