Sweater weather Friday, shorts on the weekend

You may need a sweater on Friday, but shorts should be in vogue again Saturday.

Temperatures will be about 20 degrees cooler on Friday compared to Thursday, said Bay News Nine meteorologist Juli Marquez. A cold front entered the Tampa Bay area Thursday and brought about an inch of rain for some parts of the area.

It also brought stronger winds and colder temperatures, which will stay in the 50s and 60s throughout Friday night, she said.

"You might want to grab that jacket this morning," she said.

But a warming front is expected to move from the south and heat the area up into the 70s this weekend, she said.
