After a few hot and mostly dry days, showers are likely returning this weekend in Tampa Bay.

"Moisture is returning to the atmosphere," said 10Weather meteorologist Bobby Deskins. "So rain chances are coming back."

Deskins predicted a stray shower early Friday morning that would break up quickly. But by 11 a.m. and around noon, he expects showers to move across the area. They'll gradually move in east of Interstate 75 for the rest of the afternoon and early evening.

"We're finally starting to get back those afternoon storms back," Deskins said. "It's been relatively dry — and hot."

Temperatures this weekend will be around 90 to 92 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Deskins said the chance of rain for both days is around 30 to 40 percent.
