Weather: a little warmth, a little rain predicted for weekend

Temperatures will be seasonal throughout Tampa Bay this weekend, but a Saturday night cold front will bring rain.

Friday will warm into the mid-70's and Saturday's high temperature should reach 80, Bay News 9 Meteorologist Diane Kacmarik said. Overnight lows should be considerably warmer than the last few days and will stay in the 60's.

But don't expect those highs to linger.

"We are looking at the next cold front coming through Saturday night," Kacmarik said.

The front will bring a 40 percent chance of rain and possible thunderstorms on Sunday, Kacmarik said, and that day's high will be in the mid-70's.

"Remember," Kacmarik said. "It's a lot better than the rest of the country."
