A warm start to the week will to give way to a cooler, drier finish when a cold front moves through the Tampa Bay area on Wednesday.
Temperatures will reach into the high 80s Monday and Tuesday, with a 30 and 40 percent change of rain, according to the Bay News 9 Weather Center.
"It's definitely not a washout," Bay News 9 Meteorologist Josh Linker said. "Most areas will be dry."
But a cold front moving through the area Wednesday could bring some wind into Thursday morning — and a respite from the heat, Linker said.
High temperatures will drop to the low 80s Thursday and Friday, meaning cool mornings in the 60s for much of the bay area. In some areas, temperatures could drop into the low 50s.
Thursday and Friday should be sunny and breezy, with little to no chance of rain.
