Forecasters expect a mostly dry and sunny Saturday for the Tampa Bay area, but predict storms will return by late Sunday.
Friday night could still see showers, but Bay News 9 meteorologist Mike Clay noted Saturday will offer respite from the showers and thunderstorms that drifted through the area for most of the past week.
The national weather service predicts highs near 89 and lows near 77 Saturday, but Clay said unusually dry conditions could make that evening feel more comfortable.
"It should be beautiful," Clay said.
Clay expected moisture to return Sunday, meeting a cold front and bringing back the possibility of showers that evening, he said. The National Weather Service expects Sunday to top out near 87 and drop to around 78.
