• When you place your order, request copies of our Summer
Times newspaper supplement. This 24 page publication includes a 10 week reading log, a parent guide, plenty of newspaper activities and a fantastic 14 chapter story about cool reporter of the Victorian era who was way ahead of her time, Nellie Bly. A 40-page teacher guide can be downloaded to use with the Nellie Bly story at http://www.nelliebly.org/

• Starting May 28, have your students participate in our Sizzlin' Summer Times Reader program. The St. Petersburg Times wants your students to get "In the know" reading our HOT SPOT feature in the newspaper every day. This feature, located in the classified section, will have a news brief and suggested activity.
If you use the reader response log from the Summer Times supplement, your students will also be eligible to win some great prizes!

• You and your students can also use our Summer Times Web site and blog to learn more about the Sizzlin' Summer Times Reader program and to share views about what everyone is reading.
