Writing captures the complexity of issues
Kudos on a well written, thoughtful and context-capturing piece.
For the first time someone from the Times has acknowledged that the larger thinking around some of our city's issues might not be as monolithic as previously assumed.
Yours weaves a wonderful tapestry of the diverse opinions that exist in this community.

Re: Largo annexation
Land grab will end up killing county jobs
More bully-boy, forced-annexation, job-killing, land-grabbing tactics from the Largo City Hall "mob."
The Largo commission has voted to annex 123 acres of commercial property, a land grab that will clearly cost the county thousands of jobs due to Largo's sky high taxes and fees.
Largo is not a good place to have a business. Taxes and fees have caused businesses to close, costing workers their jobs.
I think it is time to close the city of Largo. The county could provide the same services for half the price.
