Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your endorsement of my opponent. Local, state and federal governments need more elected officials like myself to say "no" more often when spending hard-earned tax dollars. My opponent believes your taxes should be raised.
It has been proven that my business plan adopted by the commission works. The utilities and infrastructure are coming to the east side industrial park. I pursued county-wide broadband, which will be a reality in the near future. All this promotes growth; with growth comes increased revenue without increased taxes.
The commission budget deficit amount was $485,000. I requested vacant, budgeted positions and unnecessary projects removed. With board approval, our budget will be balanced.
I don't blow smoke about what I did 40 years ago. I was defending our country, serving proudly in the U.S. Air Force. Remember "experience does count." Vote for Jim Adkins Aug. 14.
