Letters: Good Samaritans help senior citizen whose scooter tipped over

Good Samaritans help senior citizen

I am a handicapped senior citizen, and I use a scooter. On Friday, April 18, I went into a pothole with my scooter and tipped over. I was in a big puddle and couldn't get up. I just want to thank all of the people who helped me and especially the manager of Olive Garden in Port Richey, who also was very helpful.

We hear and read so many negative things in the paper and on the news. I wanted to acknowledge that there are a lot of good people in this world doing good things, and I met some of them.

Garry Rossano, Bayonet Point

A big thanks to Gail Diederich

Hometown Pasco coordinator Gail Diederich has been a mainstay to all of us correspondents who sent her news of our organizations. She cheerfully helped out when needed and did her best to see that our county's organizations and clubs got our pictures and news published.

That is not an easy job when competing with hard news and a myriad of demands on her time. I, and I'm sure others, wish her well and will miss her. Thank you, Gail.

Lilyan Dayton, New Port Richey
