Letters: Without impact fees, vote 'no' on sales tax

Without impact fees, reject tax

I'll be voting against the sales tax increase. I know the schools need the money but we're in this situation because the county commissioners pander to the builders and developers. They need to reinstate the impact fees for education. So much money has been lost already, I think it's millions over the past four years. Wouldn't it be better if we could vote on that? Impact fee or 1 percent sales tax? I think I know how that vote would go.

GOP group taints nonpartisan race

I received a flyer from the Hernando County Republican Executive Committee promoting a candidate for School Board in the upcoming primary election. It is unethical for a partisan group to inject itself into the non-partisan races on our ballot. But, I was not at all surprised by this action from a group run by Blaise Ingoglia. Under his watch the Republican Executive Committee meddled in Republican primaries, as well, always trying to elect puppets who would blindly follow the anti-government rhetoric Blaise bellowed.

Pass the word from schoolhouse to schoolhouse and from parent to parent, the radical right wing is trying to take over the School Board. Vote accordingly.
