Obstacles make it hard to recycle in Hernando County

Recycler brings new jobs March 17 article

Obstacles make it hard to recycle

There was a statement that a study showed only 20 percent of the residents recycle. I would gladly recycle if I could get the county to provide whatever bins are necessary to do so and put me on the schedule.

I called many times since moving here six years ago and have never been successful in getting the bins. Maybe other residents of the county have had the same problem.

'Bash' headline was ridiculous

The March 18 opinion page ran a letter with a headline stating: Bandshell Bash ran its course.

What a ridiculous statement!

Cameras can't tell who is driving

If you are single and no one besides yourself drives your vehicles then I guess you should be in favor of the red-light cameras.

It is my understanding that the registered name from the tag/plate is the person who gets the ticket.

So if you are married and your car is in one name only and your spouse or children or a friend is driving, you get the ticket because the camera can't see the driver's license of the person breaking the law.

I'm in favor of the cameras if there is a way to determine who is at fault and not to whom the vehicle is registered.
