Pasco letter: Thanks for honesty in returning lost money

Thanks for return of lost receipt, cash

I have often, when getting my debit card out of my pocket, dropped other things out of my pocket without realizing it was something important. Then I go home, search through my pockets and wonder where was I when I lost the item.

This week, I got good news out of my mailbox. The sweet staff at Tin Can Pam's mailed my latest lost item to me. In the envelope, I found my most recent city water department receipt which had my address on it. Also enclosed was the $6 I had dropped on the floor along with the receipt. I knew I had lost it somewhere, but I had thought it was at the library. The librarians looked in the lost-and-found drawer and gave me the bad news that they didn't have it.

I am thrilled that there are such honest people running Tin Can Pam's, a store in downtown Dade City, and they were sweet enough to put it in the mail.

It sets my mind at ease that not everyone in town is into manipulating people, seeking political power or looking at others with suspicion.

Kathy Lambert, Dade City
