U.S. 19 overpass still needed in Pasco County

U.S. 19 overpass is still needed

I am wondering what happened to the U.S. 19 overpass or widening of our main road. Is it not more important for safety in Pasco County than this road to nowhere on Ridge Road?

Have you noticed the bottleneck when U.S. 19 hits Pasco? Three or four lanes wide is not reasonable costwise or for safety.

If you look at the cause for backups on U.S. 19 it should be obvious: stoplights. At times, cars back up from one light to the next.

An overpass for U.S. 19, like in Clearwater, would be my suggestion as the land is already there.

Freebies promote irresponsibility | Feb. 10 letter

Weight gain has many causes

I am angry with the letter. How dare the letter writer say that people are overweight only because of overeating. Some have health issues and may be on medications. Maybe they have to eat cheap pasta dishes that cost little and go far. Maybe they can't afford a diet of fish and fresh vegetables.

I guess no free toy at Christmas for poor children if, God forbid, they are overweight. Sorry, but I am not overweight and get freebies.

Little-Fivay signal a problem

I'm not sure who calibrated the light at the corner of Little and Fivay roads, but the left turn lane now backs up traffic into the through lane on the right before the light turns green.

It is not a safe thing to have happening.
