EDC WELCOMES NEW MANAGER: The Pasco Economic Development Council welcomes its new manager, Jennie Sammur, who will be responsible for local business retention and expansion, as well as increasing the international trade and foreign direct investment marketing program. Sammur has been active in Pasco County as owner/broker of Dabar and Associates Real Estate Services, as well as serving on a number of nonprofit boards. She attends the University of South Florida and is working toward earning a master's degree in urban and regional planning.

HOBBY LOBBY OPENS: Hobby Lobby held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of its newest store at 25675 Sierra Center Blvd., in the Cypress Creek Town Center in Wesley Chapel. EMPLOYERS WANTED FOR JOB FAIR: Employers are wanted to participate in a Job and Internship Fair from 9 a.m. to noon April 9 at Pasco-Hernando State College's West Campus, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. The event is presented by the college, CareerSource Pasco Hernando, Express Employment Professionals and the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce. Local employers can promote open positions and future positions, and meet with job seekers from the community, as well as students seeking employment.
