Friday Night Live: The outdoor concert series will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Dec. 14 at Hernando Park, 205 E Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville. There will be two bands performing, including Actual Bank Robbers at 6 p.m. and Slickwood at 8 p.m. There will also be a food truck rally, full bar available, and family games in the park. A Christmas Carol: Duffy Hudson will perform a one-man show of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, at 2 p.m. Dec. 15 and 16 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Tickets are $20, $15 for students. Visit or call the box office at (352) 683-5113.

Brooksville Bike Rally and Cruise-In: The event will be held in conjunction with the Brooksville Farmer's Market at noon Dec. 16 at 615 Old Hospital Drive, Brooksville. The event features food, beer, live entertainment, classic car and motorcycle parking, and vendors. Emcee’d by the Big Ragoo and the Red Headed Step Child. Spectator admission is free. Entry in bike show is $5, car show is $20. Trophies and prizes will be awarded.

Art events

Holiday Spirit exhibit: The exhibit continues through Jan. 12 at Uptown Art Gallery/Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville. It includes display of works by local artists, as well as Just Poets. Works in the gallery will be for sale. Call (207) 809-9066.

Holiday Celebrations Boutique: The show and sale continues 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, through Dec. 20 at the West Pasco Art Guild and Gallery, 6206 Jefferson St., New Port Richey. Palms for Your Florida Landscape and General Household Pest Control: Jim Davis, Extension Director for Hernando and Sumter counties, will explain which palms to choose for the area and how to properly care for them. He will also discuss ways to prevent and/or control pest insects, and explain the different between pests and beneficial insects. Hops for Hearts Fundraiser: Oak Hill Hospital hosts this event with the Tidal Brewing Company to benefit the American Heart Association Heart Walk Team Oak Hill Hospital. Wreaths Across America: The U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club hosts this event as part of the national wreath-laying ceremony to honor and remember the nation’s veterans. The wreath-laying will be at 10 a.m., then everyone will gather at the flag assembly at 11 a.m., and the ceremonial wreath presentation will be at noon.
