There is a traffic sign flashing on Sunset Point Road in Clearwater that says, “Sunset Point Road closed beginning March 18. But it doesn’t say which section, for how long or why. Do you have any information on this project?

Sunset Point Road will be closed from King's Highway to Betty Lane until early November for intersection improvements. Through the county's capital improvement program and the Southwest Florida Water Management District, the project will repave Douglas Avenue to Kings Highway, enhance turn lanes, install mast arms and new pedestrian signals at the intersection, build ADA-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, add bike lanes and construct a new bridge over Long Branch Creek.

Other updates:

•McMullen Booth Road will be closed from Drew Street to State Road 590 from 5 a.m. on April 5 until April 9 for upgrades to CSXT railroad crossings.
