PALM HARBOR — Firefighters from across Pinellas County were dispatched to Camp Wai Lani on Wednesday.

The rescue vehicles were sent to what officials classified as a "medical call."

An adult employee experienced a medical issue, said Girl Scouts of West Central Florida spokeswoman Nicole Gonzalez. That employee was conscious and speaking after the incident and was expected to return to the camp later Wednesday.

The Girl Scouts did not disclose any other details about the incident.

FThe Pinellas County Technical Rescue Team, a specialized rescue unit comprised of firefighters from the Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg fire departments, was believed to be on scene.

Authorities released no other details about the situation there.
