ASAP Homeless Services Changes Name, Re-Focuses Mission
ASAP Homeless Services is changing their name to ASAP Family Services and refocusing their mission. These changes include a new logo as well as modifications to the way in which ASAP services their clients.
The central tenant of ASAP’s mission is to transition clients from hopelessness to independence by providing sanctuary, coaching life skills and empowering independence. The Board of Directors of ASAP Family Services have chosen to re-focus the Agency’s energy from high-touch, low-impact activities to lower-touch but higher-impact activities.
ASAP’s Drop-in Center services will be modified by being provided through the business training center. ASAP will provide business training center services to those who choose to be a part of their Career Development Program. Workshops on interviewing skills, resume building and dressing for success will be instructed by local professionals and provided to the members of this program.
Clients who have verifiable employment, student id or a scheduled interview will be allowed to utilize the Agency facilities. This includes access to showers, professional attire and be provided a meal.
The Board of Directors is committed to ASAP’s mission of servicing families in need. Any and all changes the ASAP incurs will be to further that mission.
An Open House will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at 6:30 PM
