Burrito Boarder Carrollwood
In Tampa, FL!
"It's a Cultural Revolution of Xtreme Fresh Mex"
Burrito Boarder opened its much anticipated second location in the Carrollwood neighborhood of Tampa, Florida, on June 20, 2011. The success of the first “Burg-born” restaurant, located at 17 3rd Street North in downtown Saint Petersburg, which opened its doors in September 2008, has led to expanding across the bay.
“The vibe is stimulating and friendly, where great SoCal-Mexican inspired fare is prepared in-house and made fresh daily and can be enjoyed in an atmosphere that is familiar to the big family of extreme sports and boarding enthusiasts, sitting next to professionals and suits!”,” states founder Lisa Bertrand. Our hang-out offers experiential dining with great music, a cool vibe, friendly Boarders, and bold flavors. Burrito Boarder serves up high quality Burrito Bombs in 5 different flavor wraps, Nak’d Bowls, Salad Bowls, Surf Tacos (hard, soft or traditional corn), Quesadillas, and Macho Nachos, as well as homemade vegetarian Black Bean and Tortilla soups, guacamole, queso dip, and a vast repertoire of homemade salsas and hot sauces.
Burrito Boarder will provide a quality dining experience for the fast casual dollar. Competitive pricing, outstanding food, and unsurpassed service is a Burrito Boarder mission.
Another of our missions is to take every opportunity to employ environmentally and socially conscious business practices, serving only naturally raised hormone-free meats, fresh marinated, and grilled(not fried) fish, organic and locally sourced veggies (market conditions allowing), trans-fat free soy oil, biodegradable and recyclable packaging; all this in a eco-conscious hang-out. Burrito Boarder is Vegan- and Vegetarian-friendly, as well.
“We have created a high quality, healthier, more flavorful, value based menu that fits into the lifestyles of our target market”. Bertrand says. “Our guests love to hang out with us and some fans are in every day!” “We are not reinventing the wheel here, by any means, as there are so many other Mexican-your-way concepts out there, as we all know; what we have done is to raise the bar on value by providing quality, fresh, non-commissary(open bag and pour) products in a restaurant that tantalizes the senses and offers our guests amazing service. Our guests are our friends.”
And so are our local Florida partners: Mesh Design, Clemmons Architecture, Frank Leverone Engineering, JCON Commercial Construction, CK’s Produce, El Mirasol, Cheney Bros Food, and countless others from our Tampa Bay community that have contributed to our success.
