Every October in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Haven of RCS Domestic Violence Center hosts a lunch for community leaders and concerned residents to learn more about how this growing violence affects all of our community.
Last year Pinellas County had the seventh highest domestic violence homicide rate in Florida. Police throughout Pinellas County filed over 10,000 domestic violence reports. The Haven of RCS received 7,293 Domestic Violence Hotline calls last fiscal year and provided services to nearly 20,000 people including over 3,600 children.
