"Hard times strike Gallery"
The Polly Wogg Gallery is taking a setback and may be on the Extinction list. You may know of this lovely Gallery, located at the top of a hill on Hwy 19 in North Hudson near County Line Road. You may have gone to an Art Festival that was put on there or walked her Spiritual and uplifting Labyrinth located on the property (free). And if you were there you were awed by the many choice Artists with their one of a kind Sculpture, hand carved with Clay or in wood or maybe you were fascinated by her Russian and Polish Art Glass by Artists only the Polly Wogg Gallery would introduce you to. The many works of Art by Local Artisans right here from Crystal River all the way down to Clearwater, introducing their Art and Handmade Gifts to the public. Did you see the cute Nautical Room or the Fairy and Mermaid Room? Did you come to her for Poetry Night where you can hear fantastic Poems recited by Local Artists or Art Appreciation Night when you can meet the Artists and mingle with some well known people? Oh, and were you there to see the Mural Contest, where Artists came from everywhere to claim their wall and leave an expression of their uniqueness? The beautiful Florida Landscapes by Charles Rowe and the famed Artist Thomas Krause with his paintings of all the favorite Fish in Florida? Not to mention The Shell Art done by local Artist Carolynne Montgomery and Wood Turnings by Wooden it be Nice, a local company. And I would say the most unique of all would be the Paintings on Feathers from two Artists right here in this community one of which is the owner Sue Wolding, a rare breed. You should check out her paintings too! The doors were open in August 2010, but you may have gone there when it was called Wolding Fine Art Gallery in 2003 - 2007 and now because of financial difficulties she may become extinct, but with your help and there is a way, the Polly Wogg Gallery may continue with her activities teaching Adults and Children to Paint, Draw, and having a good time with Poetry Contests, Green Contests and more. Right now she is having a huge Sale at 50% off all the original prices which would be wholesale to the public to give the Community a chance to express how much they love her. The Sale will go on till the end of the month, open Tuesday thru Sunday 10am to 7pm for convenience. So if you want the Polly Wogg Gallery to remain in business and keep enjoying the fun activites. Local and International Art, Hand made Crafts and Gifts, then you need to run, not walk to the Gallery and support her by purchasing or contributing toward the preservation of one of the most unique places we have in Hernando and Pasco County. Help us save the Polly Wogg Gallery!
