A helping hand is needed to help students that attend Hillsborough County Public Schools.
SERVE-Volunteers in Education and Hillsborough County Public Schools invite you to join us at an Adult Literacy Tutor Orientation on Thursday, January 19th, 6:00pm at Bruton Memorial Library, 302 McLendon Street, Plant City FL. Volunteer tutors who are willing to assist adult students, age 16 and older with basic academic skills, employability skills, family literacy and practical life skills are needed. There are over 100 volunteer sites conveniently located thorughout the County in which to serve.
We also offer you the opporutinty to work with students in grade K-3. You can become a reading tutor and volunteer one hour a week at any Hillsborough County Public Elementary School. The next upcoming Buidling Better Readers Workshop is offered on Wednesday, January 18th at 1:00-3:00pm at Robert W. Saunders Library, 1505 Nebraska Avenue. Our goal is to make sure every child is on reading level by 3rd grade. You can help us reach this goal.
