After Enjoying a Boost in Clientele in the Last Quarter of 2010, Advertising Performed Enters 2011 with an Eye on Hiring New Talent and Entering New Markets
Tampa, FL (February 1, 2011) – There has been much talk in the media about whether or not Bay Area businesses are seeing the effects of the economy beginning to turn around. One Tampa-based sign spinning company, Advertising Performed (www.advertisingperformed.com), has seen incredible growth during the last quarter of 2010, and has every indication that 2011 will continue that upward trend. Advertising Performed closed out last year by dramatically expanding its client base, and doing something even biggest of companies are hesitating to do – hiring new employees.
Founded in 2008, Advertising Performed, Inc. shot into the spotlight by being the first company to introduce sign spinning – a dynamic form of hip-hop performance advertising that originated in Southern California – to the Tampa Bay area. Of course, human directional marketing companies existed in the area prior to then, but more often than not, their employees were unskilled day laborers hired to hold a sign and wave to traffic. Advertising Performed changed the game by recruiting a team of talented and highly trained entertainers that use custom built signs and choreographed routines to attract attention and drive customer traffic. Three years and a Great Recession later, Advertising Performed is one of the most recognized and reputable human directional marketing companies in Florida, and the company’s owner – Joed Hassani – sees nowhere to go but up.
According to Mr. Hassani, “We’ve grown immensely in the last couple of years, especially since business owners and managers have started looking for smarter, more cost effective forms of advertising. In the last year, our client base has grown from apartment communities, fitness centers and cell phone retailers, to radio stations, sports franchises and major retail chains. It’s all very exciting stuff, but even more exciting is the fact that I am currently looking to grow my team, and even entertaining the possibility of expanding into other markets in Central and South Florida.”
Mr. Hassani attributes a good deal of his company’s success to the skill and professionalism of his sign spinners. Advertising Performed boasts a team of performers with talents ranging from free-style dance and physical comedy, to gymnastics and martial arts. These performers spend between two and six hours “doing their thing” to attract attention to the client’s business, and all the while presenting a friendly and professional appearance.
“With my guys, it’s all about energy, presentation and professionalism,” says Mr. Hassani of his team. “But, it’s also about having fun. I have guys that put on the show of their lives even though it’s 98 degrees outside, and they tell me they had the time of their lives.”
Advertising Performed is currently looking to hire sign spinners in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties, and is also looking for outside sales representatives for the same area. The company is also looking at the possibility opening offices in Sarasota, Orlando, and even as far away as Daytona and Ft. Lauderdale, before the end of 2011.
