United Way of Tampa Bay’s Eighth Annual Art of Giving, themed “Caring with Style”, benefits the Summer Care program which provides free summer child care and financial education to working families in Tampa Bay. Art of Giving is a special fundraising event organized by the volunteers of the United Way Women’s Leadership Council. Individual tickets are $125 and table sponsorships are available.
Just like a Hollywood star, guests will have the chance to walk the red carpet, get professional make-up and hair touch ups and learn the latest fashion tips from a true stylist. America Ferrera, star of the hit TV series “Ugly Betty” and feature film “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”, will share her thoughts on life in Hollywood, the importance of education and becoming a successful woman in Tinseltown.
Bid at the popular “Power of the Purse” live auction featuring the latest in designer handbags, courtesy of Neiman Marcus. Or, make plans for a world class excursion as international travel packages are also up for grabs at one of the area’s premium live auctions. The event also hosts an impressive silent auction with more than 50 unique items including stunning jewelry, tickets to local attractions, and select gifts for both men and women.
News Channel 8 anchor, Gayle Sierens, will lead the event while guests enjoy dinner, cocktails and socializing with some of Tampa Bay’s finest. Learn about the impact the United Way Summer Care program is having on more than 5,700 Bay Area families and Summer Care supporters will have the chance to meet America at an exclusive, post-event autograph session later in the evening.
Art of Giving is presented by Bank of America and is sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities, Gerdau, Neiman Marcus, and Valpak. Media sponsors include the Tampa Tribune, NewsChannel 8 and the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
