TAMPA - Trinity Cafe will celebrate 15 years of service, more than 1.17 million meals served with dignity, inspirational stories and the opening of a second location with a fundraising event Oct. 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water St.
Trinity Cafe 15 for 15: 15 Years of Service, 15 Stirring Stories of Humanity event will commemorate the history and impact of the cafe since it opened in 2001 by spotlighting 15 stirring stories presented throughout the night in person, in video, in print and in live performances.
“Every guest and volunteer has stories about Trinity Cafe and how it has impacted them. Those stirring stories of humanity come from the connections and relationships that are fostered around our dining room tables. Our goal is for attendees to be moved and inspired by the storytelling. Event proceeds will allow us to continue to unconditionally serve meals with dignity and to ensure that humanity begins with a meal,” said Executive Director Mandy Cloninger.
Hear stories from the founder of Trinity Cafe, 15-year veteran volunteers, guests whose lives have been touched by Trinity Cafe and entertainment by Charlie Gilmer on piano. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, wine and Ulele beer provided by the Columbia Café, a wine pull and a gift basket buffet, which include a cruise, beach getaway, roundtrip airline fare, golf and theme park outings and Bucs tickets among other prizes.
Trinity Cafe’s mission is unique. We are a restaurant that serves top-quality meals artfully prepared and presented by Executive Chef Benito D’Azzo and his staff, and our guests dine on tables set with cloth and china. Beyond serving a meal, our intention is to help restore a sense of dignity and respect to the homeless and hungry in Tampa. Our volunteers join our guests at every table in the spirit of unconditional companionship and grace – the hallmarks of Trinity Cafe’s 15 years of service.
Please join us for this intimate, inspiring evening. Admission price is $50 in advance by September 22 or $60 at the door. Business casual attire.
One hundred percent of the proceeds of Trinity Cafe 15 for 15 will go directly to Trinity Cafe’s meal program.
