Obama Inauguration Ball

Early in November, four Tampa Bay police officers spread the word: We're getting buses to ride to the inauguration. Who wants to come? Hundreds did. Friends e-mailed friends until the officers began hearing from people all over Florida. They lined up two buses and 105 seats. They stepped off the bus in Washington in Tuesday's wee hours. They instantly lost all sense of individuality. They found themselves swept into unimaginable greatness, a million-plus army of hope and joy.
