A doctor for Haiti

Nine months after the catastrophic earthquake, the efforts to rebuild Haiti are uneven at best. Partners in Health, the aid organization founded by Brooksville native Dr. Paul Farmer, is leading the way with the construction of a 320-bed teaching hospital. Other aid organizations, with far greater resources, have struggled to reach their goals. But as these photos by Daniel Wallace show, Haitians have preserved a sense of joyfulness even in the face of the continuing crisis.
