In a game in which neither offense could do much of anything in the second half, Marshall got one big play on special teams to pull away from Florida International in the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl on Tuesday night. The Thundering Herd's Zach Dunston blocked an FIU punt for what looked to be a go-ahead touchdown with 7:35 remaining, but an illegal forward pass penalty and ensuing personal foul negated the score and backed Marshall out to the 23-yard line. Again, the offense sputtered, but kicker Tyler Warner was good on a 39-yard field goal, and Marshall added a late touchdown for a 20-10 win at Tropicana Field.
