Bayshore Patriots, the group who began waving flags near Bayshore and Bay-to-Bay in Tampa every Friday afternoon right after Sept. 11, has accomplished something unusual: They've survived and continued their vigil - even as the patriotic fervor immediately following the attacks wore down. Some of the original founders have curtailed their involvement as life got in the way, but others continue the tradition. They'll be holding a small ceremony on 9-11 this year.
