Clearwater's proposed 2011-2012 budget
Facing a massive deficit, Clearwater officials proposed a $109 million general fund budget. The proposed budget, down $12 million from last year, eliminates 28 city jobs, including firefighters, police dispatchers, arborists and maintenance workers. The budget will keep the property tax rate the same. Clearwater's council will vote on the budget Sept. 29.
