After three nights missing, Ellen Anne Quinlan was located by the Charlotte County Sheriff Office Communications radio traffic helicopter crew as it communicated with a Traffic Unit deputy on the ground leading him in and finally confirming it was the missing Tampa woman.

A helicopter crew using heat-seeking technology located Ellen Anne Quinlan in brush just south of the mobile home park where her car was found three days before. On the ground deputies had to cut a path into the overgrowth to get to her.
