Boy, 9, calls 911 in home invasion

Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor visited Forest Hills Elementary School on Friday (June 8, 2012) to honor Desmond Pringley, 9, with a heroism award for hiding and calling 911 when two robbers barged into his home at 10113 N Highland Ave. and began beating his father. The burglars pulled out handguns, an arrest report shows, and locked Desmond's father in a bathroom, his hands tied with a dish towel.
