Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red SoxWith the Orioles winning yet another extra-inning game (their 15th straight), the Rays start play today 5 1/2 games behind the A's for the second wild-card spot, and 6 1/2 behind the AL-East leading Yankees, with 13 to play. After beating Boston 13-3 last night, the Rays feel like they have a chance to get back into the race, but acknowledge that it's going to pretty much take them running the table, and getting help. They need their offense to stay productive, and they'll need to maintain their quality strating pitching. The ball tonight is in the left hand of David Price, who leads the majors with a 2.54 ERA and shares the AL lead with 18 wins. The Sox, who last night officially notched their first losing season since 1997, are starting RHP Clay Buchholz. Related stories:
