On the runway for a cureThe 9th Annual Bright House Networks Fashion Funds the Cure was presented by Neiman Marcus and Mercedes-Benz to raise money for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. The annual fashion fundraiser features a runway show with young models who are currently battling, or have battled, cancer. The event was held at Neiman Marcus in International Plaza. The fashion show gives the girls a chance to spend time away from their reality, briefly trading demanding hospital treatments for manicures, makeovers and new outfits. It was hosted by Carson Kressley, a fashion stylist known from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Dancing with the Stars. Clearwater native Suite Caroline performed at the event, which drew professional athletes and television personalities, and included wine, catered food and private shopping. |
