Sam Gibbons

Sam Gibbons, the Tampa native and hero of WWII who would go on to spend almost a half-century in politics, died Wednesday morning, October 10, 2012 at age 92. It's impossible to overstate Gibbons' contributions, ranging from a pivotal role in the creation of USF to key roles in international and domestic issues including Medicare.
