Getting schooled on the politics of numbersBy Darla Cameron, Times News Artist The House and Senate have yet to agree on a plan to fund Florida's 11 public universities, but if the Legislature's college roots matter at all, the University of Florida figures to fare better than the University of South Florida. Only four of the current 160 lawmakers attended USF, which faces a nearly 50 percent cut in funding under the Senate's proposed budget, according to university officials.
